EOC Week 3: How To Make It In America

v  What’s your superpower? What do you do better than anyone else?

Answer: Ben and Cam’s super power was to have ambition about what they were trying to sell/make as their own product or brand for their jeans. What they do better than anyone is go out and keep trying no matter the outcome was. They always took their ambition to the next level making things work to get their jeans out there on the market.

v  What do people frequently compliments you on or praise you for?

Answer: What others frequently compliment or praise when it comes to ben and Cam they got compliments on how they never gave up and anyone they went to see what can be done to get there jean line started always either came with something good for them or something bad.

v  What adjectives do people consistently use to describe you –
v  perhaps when they’re introducing you to others?

Answer: When it comes to the best friends Cam and Ben some people may have seen them as a little show ad unorganized because they didn't bring anything to the manufacturing company to even get things started, but that was in the begging of the show. As time progress they got better. Some may classify them as very ambitious because they never gave up and they always came up with plans or some “off the wall” just to make their “under construction line started”.

v  What energizes or ignites you? What are your true passions?

Answer: What energizes or ignites they boys are the fact that they know with a little more help; guides, they can make their jean collection legit and even worth being on the market for people to buy. Ben and Cam's true passion is jeans (their brand to be). I know they will be a success.

Week 2 EOC: More In America

For today episode of How to Make It in America I love how everything was about confidence. For today’s show they guys wanted to start their own Jean line but when they went to the manufacturing company, they guys was not ready for what was being asked, instead they were to determine to get their jean line/collection on the roll. When they guy that worked there asked did they have a plan for the jean line or some type of organizational structure to be presented. They did not have anything to bring to the table so as a company the guy who worked at the manufacturer didn’t know what to tell them but gave the men harsh but positive critiques. What they boys should have done was had some type of plan , them made some type of samples so when it’s being presented to a company you look and seem as professional as possible. What the boy do, do right was not giving up and taking what the other man said and turned it into something positive.

Week 1 EOC: How to make it in America

I really like certain things about this show and of course the similaritys between it and Entourage are there and they share a producer and a certain feel, difference between the two is that How to Make it in America doesn't have a Arie that you either love or hate type character to balance things out. you have a good hustle of action and things happening in this show but nobody ever overshadows or takes it beyond what is presented. it is a very well placed cast, however its a cool show which works well in its lane. I really like the show's atmosphere: the visual style, the soundtrack, the New York scenery. All of it. I also like that it is kind of slow paced (fortunately it's airing on HBO or else it would get axed). I find the characters easy to relate to. You feel their desire to make their way in the big city, the moments of self-doubt, the questioning, the ups and downs in friendship. Anyway I guess it's not for everyone but at least I enjoyed it. Season 2 just ended and I can't wait to see the next seasons to come. I like the Dominican aspect of the pilot, but I think the lead character is alright. Wahlberg is trying to portray ordinary Americans instead of stars, Entourage. This takes much more skill as the audience must connect with the characters. I do not think America
ns will develop a fondness for the characters, overall I rate this show excellent.

My Voice

My aspiration in the field and marketing is to first design my own line of clothing which would be named "Beauty" by- Gabrielle. This will be a universal line of fashion and cosmetics, as well as many other women's hair, nail etc. products. This line will also include many separate divisions and collections. The earliest and most important collection would have to be the "Princess" collection. This specific collection will consist of everything and anything involving clothing. There will be reasonable pricing on everything involving this line. There by making it possible for more customers to be able to purchase these items. Also reasonable pricing on these items will make it possible to be sold in bigger more vast variety of stores and other shops. The demographic of customers we plan on selling to will include women ages 18 - 40. Plus sizes as well petite sizes. There will also be an exclusive sub division of this clothing line called the "little princess" line. This line will cater to infants, toddlers, and most importantly ages five years old all the way to sixteen years old. I also plan on being the main model represent this particular line. This work great to give my lines exposure as well as my self since i also have a passion for modeling. If all of these pieces fall into place i have other ventures i would like to branch out to.
